My Story
I am going to be telling you about a real life thing that happened to me.
Then I am going to tell you a fictional take on that event made by Colin.
I woke up this morning when the lights turned on in my room. My muscles were aching because of my tiring activities from last night. I smelled something sour. When I rolled over I realized I was at the edge of my bed and almost fell off. I pushed myself up and looked outside. It was dark so I knew it was before seven o’clock. I needed to get up because my bus leaves at 7:40. As I got out of bed I heard the click of alight switch. I saw my sister get out of bed. Once I was dressed I went to the living room, one floor down from my bedroom. I smelled eggs so I looked into the kitchen. I saw my dad making scrambled eggs and heard them sizzle. I sat down and started thinking about which book I would bring to school. My dad put out a waffle, honey yogurt and a tall glass of water at my sister’s spot. At my spot he put a cinnamon bun, key lime yogurt and a tall glass of water. Just before I finished breakfast I checked the time. It was only 6:49. I was surprised. While my dad brushed the fluffy snow off his car I went out to help. Then I realized that I took the bus. I panicked. Quickly I grabbed my black book bag and sprinted for the bus stop.
Next is the fictional tale based on my real life experience:
The Day I Missed the Bus
I woke up this morning to the sound of the bus leaving. I thought to myself, “On No. I missed my bus.” Well, that sucks because both of my parents work and I live 100 miles away from school. On the bright side, no school.
The first thing I did was eat breakfast. Then the fun started. I jumped on the couch and grabbed my computer. I tried to start it but it ran out of battery. TV is my back up plan. I turned on the TV but it was acting weird. I guess the storm from last night cut the cable. Well, I’ll play on my ipad mini. Oh wait, I took it to the shop yesterday and it has to stay for two weeks for repairs.
Oh, the electronics didn’t work that day. I decided to go outside and play in the snow. It was so fun until I realized I had locked myself out. I thought, “Oh no, I am stuck outside in the cold. How could this day get any worse?” Trust me, it did.
I tried going to my neighbours. Fail. I tried breaking into my own house. Fail. Just before I tried to bury myself, my mom came. I was so glad. She saved me. I told her what happened and she forgave me right away.
